Hi, I’m contacting you because I want to make a homebrew tribute USB. I’m collecting as many content creators as possible. I also want to include a profile for each one, with a few details, such as their logo, avatar, name, work completed, projects, etc., so you can see who’s behind their creations.
That profile, along with any material you allow me to upload, will be placed on a USB drive. This will act as a database of creators and their creations, and will be updated as I connect with new people.
The USB I’m thinking of creating will be one of those rubber-type USBs, shaped like a Spectrum computer, something that looks really nice. The idea is that those who contribute material, and if they want to buy one or more, will get it at cost price, and those who just want to buy one, it will cost a little more.
The idea is that if enough are sold, enough to recover the initial investment, the profits that the rest of the USBs could generate will be distributed among the people who have contributed material to the project, via transfer, PayPal, or however possible, even if possible, that the USB will be free. Obviously, you can buy more than one, but only one of them can be free.
It’s not necessary or mandatory to buy the USB, only if you like it or want it.
If you’re interested in this project, you can contact me at this email, flopping@gmail.com. If you have any questions or concerns, let me know and I’ll answer them. Do you think the idea is a good one? Would you like to participate in the project? Let me know. Best regards.
Hi there! I'm the author of ZEsarUX emulator. I'm trying to run Actic Atac in ZEsarUX and I have some questions about the disk_filemap call the game is using. It now detects the card is not fragmented, reads some bytes from the card (up to offset 2227FH) and then it resets. Can I contact you by email ? My email is chernandezba at hotmail dot com. Thanks!
Great video, glad you liked the game. The PAUSE button shows the items you are carrying along with other details. The Map & Tips download is worth a read if you are curious about the game mechanics.
Hands Down... this game for the Sinclair ZX Spectrum Next is the most, I mean the mostest, everything good, compared to any other game I have played for the Next!
Sounds - Awesome!
Music - Awesome!
Graphics - Awesome!
Gameplay - Awesome!
This is just so well done! I am BLOWN Away!
For those that only wanna see the game, that starts at 19 minutes in or so.
Thank you! I think it is a great that you recognized how good the original audio was and concentrated more on upgrading the graphics.
Is there any way to make each room fully shown on screen like the original instead of the limited scrolling effect? I am guessing the resolution of the room graphics is preventing this.
When launched the loading screen shows up temporarily and then the screen goes blank with a "File Fragmentation Error" message :( Is there something I can do to fix this?
First find the file you want to run in the browser, launch it to get the "defragmented file" error. Reset the machine. Now open the "Command Line". Type "LS" to list the files. You should be in the same file location when you reset.
Find and note the NEX file (Next executable)
You will see the "ATICATAC.NEX" file you tried to run earlier (this example).
Now type ".DEFRAG ATICATAC.NEX" (This example) it takes a while, but that is the nature of the beast.
hello i have an older core, copied the files over from tbblue to my sd card and booted my n-go up, but its not giving me the choice to update the core?
Holding the U key allows you to enter the core updater when you power on your system. There are some guidelines about updating cores here: https://www.specnext.com/latestdistro
Wow what a great job you have done, Graphics are awesome on the Next and the background tune is complimentary to the game whilst still retaining the original effects. Im still no good at it, so now I am no good 40 years on...

very good
Thanks for this! :)
does this require the latest firmware 22.10?
The game requires the latest CORE 3.02.0. There is a link in the "Install instructions" section of this page.
I would not mind paying for a physical release though...
Great game thanks, I finally got a new SDHC card and put it in my Speccy Next this morning and the game works great - thank you!
Wow this looks and sounds great. Best game I've seen on the next so far
When launched the loading screen shows up temporarily and then the screen goes blank with a "File Fragmentation Error" message :( Is there something I can do to fix this?
Hi. You can use the .DEFRAG tool in the NextZXOS Command Line to fix the file fragmentation error.
Thanks, that seemed to work! Game looks great BTW.
I ran the .defrag command but I don't know how to use it.
Can you please give me some pointers?
Thank you
I fixed it, I didn't remember all the commands.
I congratulate you because the game is wonderful!! Thanks for what you did
Instructions;
First find the file you want to run in the browser, launch it to get the "defragmented file" error.
Reset the machine.
Now open the "Command Line".
Type "LS" to list the files. You should be in the same file location when you reset.

Thanks for this info, made it very easy to understand ;-)
